Christmas Toy Discounts: How to Find Real Savings

Analysis of Christmas promotions in Argentine toy stores shows that the biggest savings are not always in the highest discount percentage. Experts advise focusing on no-cashback caps and interest-free installments.

Christmas Toy Discounts: How to Find Real Savings

Be more attentive, more wary of the giant percentage, and more focused on the fine print.

Buenos Aires, December 19, 2025 (NA) – Toy store promotions for Christmas abound, with discounts of up to 30% without a cashback cap and up to 9 interest-free installments, but they can sometimes be confusing due to overlapping benefits that make comparison difficult.

Toy stores are already full of signs promising big discounts: 40% is the star offer in shop windows and on social media, but a survey of over a hundred offers by Clash Beneficios, a promotion and discount comparison app, shows that the real savings are not always in the highest percentage, but in the 30% discounts without a cashback cap and with interest-free installments.

The conclusion is clear: the percentage is no longer the decisive variable, according to data received by the Noticias Argentinas news agency. The complete analysis of the more than 100 promotions active in national toy stores, offered by banks and digital wallets, is available for free on iOS and Android at https://clash.com.ar/s/pr_getclash.

Low Cashback Caps

«The 40% discount frequently appears in toy stores. However, this aggressiveness often hides low cashback caps. In a context where every peso counts, platforms like Clash not only allow you to compare promotions but also know how much it's worth spending to make the most of each benefit, which is key when the budget is finite and purchases multiply,» experts add.

«That's why more and more people are looking for tools that allow them to see the real savings before paying,» indicates an expert.

Outstanding Promotions

Within this group, some promotions stand out.

Santander offers a 30% discount for salary accounts, with no cashback cap and up to 9 interest-free installments at the toy stores Citykids, Charco, and Giro Didáctico.

The same applies to the 30% discount without a cashback cap but with 6 interest-free installments, with Banco Macro cards at Citykids, Osito Azul, Kinderland, and Charco.

In the case of Banco Galicia, it offers 25% discounts always without a cashback cap and with 3 interest-free installments at the aforementioned stores, as well as at Cebra, Carrousel, and El Mundo del Juguete.

Finally, Naranja X does the same with a 20% discount without a cashback cap and with 6 interest-free installments at Educando, Gulliver, and Pizzico.

«While the particularity of the toy sector shows that financing usually plays a secondary role and direct discounts dominate, designed to close the purchase on the spot, when proposals emerge that combine high discounts, no caps, and installments, they become very hard to match,» points out the CEO of Clash.

«The map of promotions shows a different consumer. In many cases, the discount runs out quickly, and the real impact on total spending is much less than expected. That's where the consumer starts doing what they didn't do before: comparing,» explains Mauro Mossuz, CEO and co-founder of Clash.

The app's survey reveals that several banks decided to play without limits. Santander, Macro, and Galicia, and even Naranja X, offer competitive discounts without a cashback cap, a rarity in the current context. Specifically, when there is no cap, the higher the purchase, the greater the savings.

«If this analysis makes anything clear, it's that promotions that are equal in percentage can be completely different in practice. A 30% no-cap offer can far surpass a 40% offer with a low limit. It's no coincidence, as December concentrates a large part of the year's sales».
